OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, July 26, is the 3rd annual Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout. The IMCA Stock Cars are racing for $1,262 to win and $125 to start. Heat races pay $62 to win among other bonuses.
The weekend also provides an opportunity for Stock Car drivers to run two big money shows. The following night, Saturday, July 27, Bethany Speedway will complete the Stock Car weekend with a $1,262 to win race as well. The race pays $90 to start. Between the two tracks, there is over $2,500 on the line if a driver can sweep the weekend.
On Friday, July 26, at US 36, along with the IMCA Stock Cars, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Winged Sprints, IMCA Sport Mods and E-Modifieds are also racing. Pure Stocks have the night off.
The pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands open at 6 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 6:45 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing is at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for senior and military, $5 for children seven to 12 years of age and children six and younger are free.
