Modified Madness presented by St. Joseph Beverage was scheduled for May 24, but rains came down and the event was postponed. The new date has arrived and on Friday, June 21, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods and E-Modifieds will all battle for the big checks.
The Iowa Sprint Car League will also make their second appearance in 2019 on the high banks, as they will complete the must-see program. Wyatt Burks took the win on May 31 in the debut race for the Iowa Sprint Car League at US 36.
The IMCA Modifieds will battle for $1,000 to win and $150 to start. The IMCA Sport Mods have $500 on the line for the winner and $80 to start. The E-Modifieds fight for a $350 winner’s check and $60 to start.
All three modified classes will run under a draw/redraw format, so this is a great opportunity for any drivers wanting to try out the high banks to make the trip.
The pits open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands open at 6 p.m. Hot laps begin 7:30 with racing to follow at 8 p.m. Tickets for the race are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors and military, $5 for children seven to 12 years of age and children six and younger are free.
