This Friday, June 7, at US 36 Raceway is Westfall GMC Night at the Races. The IMCA Modifieds headline the event as they race for $1,000 to win. The IMCA Winged Sprints, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, E-Modifieds and Pure Stocks are also racing.
Westfall GMC will have several Class 8 trucks and wreckers on display for those in attendance. US 36 Raceway thanks Westfall GMC for their support of the high banks.
It is also CARB Night this Friday. Anyone with a valid CARB membership will receive free admission. They will also be providing pinewood derby cars and races for the kids.
We aren’t done yet as it is also Kids Night. We have bicycles to give away thanks to the efforts of Chet Yates, driver of the 99C E-Modified, and the rest of the racing community.
We will also be honoring our 2017 Pure Stock Champion Cletus Murray, as it is Cletus Murray Remembrance Night. The bike giveaway is in honor of Cletus Murray.
We have a lot going on off the track, but on track action begins at 7:30 with hot laps and racing at 8. Pit gates open at 5 p.m., and the grandstands open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors and military, $5 for kids aged 7-12 and six and younger are free.
