After a one-week break, US 36 Raceway readied for the second night of racing action in 2019 and for the second week of the season, the IMCA Modifieds provided one of the best races of the night. Brandon Williams took a front row starting position and led the first 15 laps of the feature. That statement is a little misleading because Chad Clancy was draped all over the inside corner panel of Williams’ machine for most of the run. Clancy searched all over the racetrack for a line with enough...more

OSBORN, Mo. – Before Thomas Kennedy showed the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars around the high banks of US 36 Raceway, two classes that contest weekly at US 36 took to the track for their features. The IMCA Sport Mods were first out for their 15-lap event. Nicholas Carpenter took the lead at the drop of the green flag and paced the first half of the race. During that time, Steven Clancy began to slowly work his way through the field. After starting 10th, Clancy had to pick and choose where to make...more

For the last several years, Modified Madness has been the staple race for US 36 Raceway during Memorial Day weekend. As the racetrack remembers those that fought for our country, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods and E-Modifieds all will battle for a little extra this Friday. Last year, Shaye Bailey, Nic Hanes and Destyn Whitney took the checkered flags on this night. Three more drivers will add their names to that list in 2019’s event. The IMCA Modifieds headline the event on the high...more

(OSBORN, Mo.) – For the first time in their inaugural season, the Iowa Sprint Car League visited the high banks of US 36 Raceway. At the end of the night, Wyatt Burks held off two different challenges from Mitchell Moore and Riley Kreisel. Burks set a blistering pace early and opened a big gap. Lapped traffic late in the race allowed Mitchell Moore to close in and battle Burks. With four laps to go the caution flew, giving Burks a clean track in front of him on the restart. Once the green came...more

(OSBORN, Mo.) – With $1,000 on the line, the IMCA Modifieds battled for 20 laps before the big check had a recipient. After several early cautions, Cory Wray and Chad Clancy settled into the top two spots. Wray ran the bottom of the racetrack, as did Clancy. Clancy could roll the center of the corner better than everyone on the race track, but he couldn’t get the drive off to move to the inside of Wray. With two to go, it looked as though Clancy had conceded and would settle for second....more

As soon as the green flew in the feature it was clear Bailey made the right adjustments with the changing track. He made the move to the lead...more
